Lars F. Bergstrom is an experienced trial attorney who has represented
clients in civil and criminal trials throughout Colorado and Nebraska.
He has also appeared in military courts throughout the country. Mr. Bergstrom
received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University where he
studied international economics. Mr. Bergstrom earned his Juris Doctor
from Tulane University Law School. He also studied business administration
at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. He was called to active duty with
the United States Army a few credits shy of obtaining his Master of Business
Administration (MBA) degree.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Bergstrom accepted a commission with
the United States Army and served on active duty in the Army JAG Corps
for three and a half years before transferring the Army Reserves. While
on active duty, Mr. Bergstrom served in the legal assistance office, administrative
law office, and with the Army’s Trial Defense Service where he defended
hundreds of soldiers facing court-martial and adverse administrative actions.
Mr. Bergstrom was called up to active duty from 2005-2007 during which
time he was one of the Army’s busiest criminal defense attorneys
handling some of the military’s most complex cases. Mr. Bergstrom
serves on the board of directors of The Home Front Cares, a Colorado charity
providing emergency assistance to service-members and veterans.
Mr. Bergstrom worked for many years and was a partner at a top-rated Colorado
litigation defense firm before coming to Jordan Law. He now uses his knowledge
and experience to help people injured in accidents. Mr. Bergstrom practices
civil litigation including motor vehicle and trucking accident claims,
premises liability, intentional torts such as assault and battery, traumatic
brain injury, and wrongful death. He is licensed to practice in the state
and federal courts of Colorado and Nebraska. Mr. Bergstrom is the father
of two boys and enjoys skiing, hiking, and martial arts (he holds black
belts in several styles).
