The crash happened on a stretch of I-70 in the eastbound lanes near Colorado Mills Parkway around 4:50 pm on Thursday, April 25.
The crash appears to have been caused by an out-of-control semi-truck carrying lumber. Details have not yet emerged however authorities are charging the semi-truck driver.
“Through our handling of countless semi-truck accident cases across the country, we know all too well how devastating these types of accidents can be. We always hope and expect that the drivers of these massive vehicles will operate them in a safe and cautious manner, but all too often they do not. When you couple reckless driving with trucks of this size, catastrophic and avoidable losses occur. Our thoughts and well wishes go out to all those effected by this senseless tragedy,”” said Jason Jordan, founder and trial lawyer at Jordan, Herington & Rowley.
